Dear all,
EA Osnabrück invites you to our rationality evening next week on February 24th at 6:45 pm. The event will start at 7 pm. The event will be two hours including breaks.
Applied Rationality is about improving habits, beliefs, behaviors and decision-making while working with, rather than against your human brain. The Californian research non-profit CFAR has developed a compendium of techniques for this purpose, one of which we’ll be practicing at this event.
Applied rationality coach Anne Wissemann will teach a session on the technique “internal Trigger Action Plans”:
Trigger Action Plans (TAPs) are a well-researched technique to increase the chance that you will follow through on plans. They are particularly useful for installing or changing beneficial habits. “Internal” TAPs revolve around reacting to emotions or thoughts, rather than an outwardly visible behavior. Example: “When I notice that I get defensive, I take a deep breath and relax my shoulders”
The goal is to facilitate exchange about Applied Rationality and have a nice evening. There will be room for discussing the techniques and talking with others in small groups at the event.
The event will be online on Spatial chat. If you don’t know Spatial chat, don’t worry, we will shortly explain it during the event. No pre-registration required. Limit is 50 people, first come first serve.
